About me
A life shaped by the Catholic faith—and spent helping others live it.
I have spent more than twenty years telling stories about faith, family, suffering, and the mercy of God—with candor, humor, and a conviction that grace is at work even in life’s unfinished places.
I am the founder of Rosary Army, an author, speaker, broadcaster, and audiobook narrator. But my work began much more simply: with a knotted Rosary, a return to regular Confession and Eucharistic Adoration, and a growing desire to embrace the Catholic faith more fully.

Faith becoming personal
Embracing the Catholic faith as my own.
I was raised Catholic and received the sacraments, but for years the faith remained something familiar rather than something personal.
Early trauma, instability, depression, and anxiety left me carrying questions I did not know how to ask. By my late teens, faith had moved to the margins of my life and I entered years of searching—even while continuing, imperfectly, to believe in God and remain connected to the Church.
Meeting Jennifer at Georgia State University in 1994 changed the direction of my life. We married in the Catholic Church in 1995 and slowly began seeking God together. The birth of our first son, Jennifer’s entrance into full communion with the Church, and my first true encounter with Eucharistic Adoration opened doors I had never expected.
By 2002, Adoration, Confession, the Rosary, Scripture, and the teaching of the Church were no longer disconnected pieces. I no longer experienced Catholicism as simply the faith I had inherited. I embraced it as the foundation of my life, my marriage, and the work I was called to do.

A faith fully embraced
The beginning of Rosary Army
One knotted Rosary became a worldwide apostolate.
After learning to make all-twine knotted Rosaries, I began giving them away. I made my Total Consecration to Jesus through Mary according to St. Louis de Montfort, and RosaryArmy.com went online in March 2003.
What followed grew well beyond a website: pioneering Catholic podcasts with Jennifer, national radio, television, books, speaking, and a community committed to making, praying, and giving away Rosaries.
Today, I continue to serve as founder and president of Rosary Army while creating Catholic media intended to draw people more deeply into prayer, truth, and the life of the Church.
Mercy becomes personal
Learning to believe the message I had proclaimed.
Public ministry did not make me immune to private struggle. A mental-health collapse in 2018 led to disability leave, intensive treatment, and a diagnosis of PTSD. Beneath it was a deeper spiritual wound: I could explain God’s mercy to other people while struggling to believe it applied to me.
Through therapy, prayer, the sacraments, and St. Louis de Montfort’s The Love of Eternal Wisdom, I began recognizing God’s presence throughout my suffering. That long process of healing became God Doesn’t Hate Me After All—a candid spiritual companion for anyone who has ever wondered whether God’s love could really be meant for them.

Jennifer and I have been married since 1995 and have spent much of that time creating Catholic media together. Our conversations about marriage, family, faith, and ordinary life helped shape the voice of Rosary Army from its earliest days.
My current work brings together the threads of that journey: leading Rosary Army, writing and speaking, producing Catholic media, narrating audiobooks, and encouraging people to take the next faithful step—even when life remains unfinished.
